SFFANZ is an association of people who wish to support fandom in New Zealand.
At this point in time, membership of SFFANZ will get you periodic emails or postal information about science fiction and fantasy in New Zealand.
You are also entitled to vote for the Sir Julius Vogel Awards each year, even if you are not a member of the National Science Fiction convention.
At present, the joining fee is $10 per period. A term of membership extends from the start of one national convention, to the start of the next one. One term will always encompass one National Convention or AGM. For full details, see the Documents section.
To join, download this SFFANZ Joining Form (PDF). You can fill it out electronically, or print it out and send it back to us with your fee.
Note: We are working to make it possible to join via this website, using a credit card. We HOPE to have this available in the first couple of weeks of May, 2021. You are welcome to wait to join until then. But if we are not ready by mid May, then it would be best to follow the below procedure.
Filling out electronically
Most PDF readers will let you fill out this form on your computer. We recommend Adobe Acrobat for highest compatibility.
After filling the form, save it with your name appended to the front. eg QueenieAlien_SFFANZJoiningForm.pdf or similar.
Then email the address on the form to request membership, and attach your changed PDF.
Fees may by electronic banking (or cash if you are able to give it to a board member). If you wish to pay by electronic banking, fill out the form, tick the appropriate box, return the completed form to us and email us for electronic banking details. The email address to use is shown on the form.
We must have your signature if filling in the form physically, OR your email address that matches the email that you send the electronic form from.
We expect to be able to add more benefits to joining in the future.
